Monthly Update

• We are finalizing the preparations to move the archives into storage. We are working with a professional archival moving and storage company to ensure safe handling of the materials.
• LA&M has announced a partnership with Gerber Hart Library & Archive to host several key LA&M programs while we are closed. Check our calendar for new location information at leatherarchives.libcal.com

Monthly Update

• We are officially closed for the renovations
• Our movers carefully packed all of the archives and collections, and they have been transported to their new climate controlled home while the work is being completed.
• The first part of the renovation was demolition of the interiors! Both floors have been gutted and stripped to their bare bones, ready to begin the work of creating our new spaces!

Interior demolition is largely completed. The space is hardly recognizable, stripped down to its barest! Work on plumbing and the elevator shift begins now, along with new sewer lines.
