Donating to the Collections

The LA&M welcomes donations of personal and organizational records, ephemera, photographs, artifacts, art and publications related to BDSM, fetish and kink history, community and cultures.

THE LIBRARY

The Teri Rose Memorial Library is a non-lending, browsing library that is free to access and open to the public during visiting hours.

RESEARCH

Access to rare books, periodicals, artifacts in storage, or archival and multimedia collections is by appointment Wednesday-Saturday. To schedule a research appointment, contact the LA&M archivist at archives@leatherarchives.org.

PRIVACY, COPYRIGHT AND TAKEDOWN POLICY

The LA&M provides digital access to portions of its collections for scholarship, research, and fair use. The LA&M does not own all rights to material in its collections. Whenever possible, information about copyright owners and use restrictions will be provided. However, it is the responsiblity of users to determine all copyright and other use restrictions before publishing or distributing materials found in the LA&M collections or on the LA&M collections website.

This website is password protected to respect the privacy of individuals in LGBT, Leather, BDSM and kink communities.

By default, personal surnames are redacted to protect the privacy of individuals. Public personas, pseudonyms, scene names, and the names of individuals whose full names are otherwise findable in relation to LGBT, Leather, BDSM and kink communities with a cursory search online are presented in full. The LA&M will remove or change a name at any point in time at request.

To submit a change request, correction, or to request the removal of personal information, a photograph, audiovisual recording, or other document of which you are the copyright holder or subject, please contact the LA&M at archives@leatherarchives.org with your name, contact information, and details. Copyright holders may be asked to provide proof of identity and ownership.
