Volunteer Policy:
The Leather Archives & Museum holds many events each month, including fetish films, gallery openings, kink education classes, gear parties and more. We rely on our amazing community volunteers to make these events a success! You get to attend the event for free, and interact with some wonderful people in our community. Our volunteers get free stuff like t-shirts and swag, and we host a volunteer appreciation event each year.
Event volunteers choose when and how often they help out. Our upcoming needs are posted here and shared via text and/or email. Available Volunteer Shift Sign-ups will be sent via email/text every 2nd Tuesday of the month at 5pm.
Sign-ups are first come, first serve and available until all slots have been filled. If you see something that works for your schedule, let us know quickly to claim your space. We will confirm and share details about the event and what you’ll be doing. You’ll show up for your shift, have a great time, help your community, and we’re done until the next time!
We rely on our awesome volunteers to make our events a success. With our ever-growing community of volunteers, it is more important than ever that when volunteers sign-up for an event, they are keeping their commitment to showing up to their scheduled event. Moving forward, we will now be tracking attendance of volunteers with multiple nonattended volunteer shifts. If a volunteer has 2 or more nonattended volunteer shifts in the past two months, they will be given a break from signing up for volunteering at events for a month. You will be able to sign up for volunteer shifts again after that.
We understand that unplanned conflicts come up. Please make sure you are notifying us as soon as possible if you are not going to make an event you signed up for.
First things first…..register with us as a volunteer. That way we have your information and your preferred method of contact. After you’ve registered, you can sit back and wait for us to reach out. You can always contact us by email at volunteers@leatherarchives.org.
